Public Relations Manager
Nimble Storage is the most disruptive storage array company in history. The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Nimble Storage public relations program. The primary focus of this position will focus on proactively generating story ideas in conjunction with the outside PR agency to ensure Nimble maintains a positive Share of Voice.
The PR Specialist will join the Corporate Marketing team reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Communications. As an integral member of the Corporate Marketing team this individual will contribute to all phases of the Nimble Storage public relations program, including: media relations, awards, speaking opportunities, promoting customer experiences, and product launches.
Job Description
• Liaise with outside PR agency on proactive and reactive media relations activity to ensure Nimble retains a positive Share of Voice
• Manage day-to-day PR operations
• Work with product marketing and alliances teams to provide input on product launch and lifecycle PR activities
• Serve as a primary media contact in the U.S. on product-related PR opportunities
• Collaborate on development of press materials, including messaging, news releases and briefing documents; working closely with PR agency partners and internal stakeholders to develop relevant press launch content
• Work with the PR agency on press release development for products, alliances and customer use cases
• Distribute news daily to ensure the entire company is abreast of company and industry news
• Manage monthly and quarterly reporting to ensure PR program activity is promoted to senior leadership
• Collaborate with marketing team on PR opportunities at industry events, speaking engagements and social media activity
• Project managing all aspects of assigned launches and maintain PR launch calendar for the company
Qualifications
• 3 – 5 years in agency or in-house experience preferably in tech PR
• Preferred BA Degree in Communication/Public Relations, Journalism or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable and flexible multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
• Strong understanding of PR best practices
• Have eagerness to build more media relationships
