Job Description:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing accounting functions including general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance, and annual audits. The Accounting Manager is a hands-on working manager that will be responsible for managing a team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger functions including balance sheet reconciliations, review and approve journal entries and analyses as part of the close monthly close process.

• Manage accounts payable cycle function to ensure that all payments are processed on time, according to company policy and within forecasted limits

• Prepare analysis and reporting for a variety of financial reports for various internal and external stakeholders

• Manage all tax related functions including sales/use tax return preparation and filling, sales tax audits, reporting/filing, etc.

• Oversee payroll and related reporting and audits.

• Manage annual audits with external auditors.

• Proactively seek ways to improve processes to help reduce time to close, improve accuracy of the underlying accounting records and improve operational inefficiencies.

• Manage, direct and develop a team of accountants.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance.

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with Big Four public accounting and industry experience is highly desired.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a variety of functions across the organization.

• Excellent supervisory and project management skills, ability to lead and motivate a team as well as be hands-on, multi-task and prioritize.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Professional skepticism and a willingness to question why something is being done.

• Ability to work proactively and independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high growth environment

• Solid understanding of general accounting concepts

• Advanced excel skills such as pivot tables and data analysis.

• Prior experience with Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks Online or Financialforce software applications is a plus
