Our client is a well-established, global software company with a history of providing a variety of software solutions to companies throughout the world. This is your opportunity to join this team calling on a mix of existing and targeted accounts within a geography. This is a great opportunity as the candidate will be calling on some established accounts with an existing revenue stream along with hunting for new business. We are currently seeking a successful, motivated, sales professional with successful experience selling into the public sector/state and local government space for this exciting opportunity:
Position title: Account Executive-Public Sector
Location: Southern California or Arizona
Position description:
We are seeking a candidate with experience selling software, preferably with some type of or understanding of data integration solutions to the public sector/state and local government. The successful candidate will acquire expertise in a number of different technology areas and leverage their contacts and consultative selling skills.
Required skills:
5-8+ years prior experience selling software based solutions into the public sector/state and local government
Recent, successful experience selling some type of middleware software offerings in one of the areas of data integration, business process management/BPM, SOA, preferred
Familiarity with internet technologies
Proven success in meeting and exceeding quota
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Ability to manage complex sales cycles
An action and results-oriented approach which balance a "take charge" attitude with teamwork and collaboration. An ability to work with prospects to develop strong business solution cases coupled with solid closing skills.
Bachelor's degree
Candidates of most interest to us are those from companies such as IBM, Oracle(middleware/fusion), TIBCO, Pegasystems, Open Text, etc. or other software companies in the middleware software space.
