The Role: Operations Manager
Location: Northern Los Angeles, CA
Our organization, a manufacturer of microelectronics for the Aerospace, Defense, Medical and Telecommunications industries, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager. With consistent sales growth of more than 20% annually for the last decade, we are poised for continued rapid and profitable growth and are searching for an exceptional Operations Manager to drive our production objectives.
Our Operations Manager will embrace efficiency and have the ability to drive forward Lean and continuous improvement methodology. They will formulate and execute initiatives that will increase our competitive advantage through operational efficiency. The Operations Manager will be responsible for oversight of the production of materials and ensure an open line of communication with the Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Process Engineering functions.
Your Required Skills & Experience:
You have a bachelors Degree in Engineering or related area of focus
You possess 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment with at least 3 years in direct management; high-tech environment is preferred
You may have microelectronics or hybrid technologies manufacturing experience which will be looked upon highly
You are interested in a "hands-on" position which will require you to learn our manufacturing processes and spend significant time on the production floor
You have 3+ years of continuous improvement experience, including Six Sigma, Lean or DFLS at a manufacturing facility
You have a thirst for learning and a willingness to adapt and grow rapidly with this position
You have experience in the Defense Contracting Arena with certifications that include AS-9000 or AS-9100 or an electronics manufacturing environment
You have a proven history of increased responsibility and promotions
