Job Title: Lead Developer
Summary: This Lead developer will play an integral role in the development team and project timeline to help build and maintain a compelling, well-designed online community that already has a half a billion media impressions. This developer will be responsible for architecture and writing strong, well thought out code. We require a candidate with LAMP stack experience. They will look at candidates that have worked in a Java/.Net environment but they need to have had at least 80% of their work experience in a LAMP environment. They also play an important role in tool selection here at. and will have a fair amount of autonomy as this is a start-up group within a well funded and stable organization.
This opportunity to contribute to website is just one of many future opportunities here at our company. and is a chance to become part of the beginning of an internal digital agency servicing the our brands. Moving forward, our company is looking to build a strong team of sharp, social media savvy Graphic Designers, Developers and Product Managers that will be responsible for spearheading many exciting projects over the next few years. Although this opportunity is not a full time position to start. will be keeping a keen eye out for individuals that will make a great contribution to their team long term.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline. 8+ years combined experience in any of the following: working in a networked environment; using file conversion techniques; working with Adobe Creative Suite; working with Microsoft Office Suite and Visio. Demonstrated experience in a professional environment conducting web development including HTML and JavaScript Skills and
Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. Knowledge of Wordpress/CSS a plus. Should display ability for writing documented, maintainable code. Excellent verbal and written communication skills desired. Updates web pages regularly. Provides configuration management by maintaining network file structure and electronic documents. Works extensively with Design, Marketing and Communications for a usable, cohesive web presence. Develops and tests software to provide solutions for company business needs. Oversees junior developers. This back end developer will have a fair amount of autonomy as this is a start-up group within a well funded and stable organization.
