BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & REVENUE DIRECTOR
This important and visible role encompasses:
• Closure of New Business Leads
o Manage and successfully close all new leads – SOW development and negotiation
o Collaborate with Manager of Client Engagements and VBO to ensure that resources are in place to successfully execute
• Expand New Biz Sales Channels
o Drive new opportunities through strong relationships with key players within the top 30 Brands
o Establish partnerships with key legal firms that specialize in alliance formation and management
o Explore opportunities to drive collaboration tool revenues, to include VBO services outside the technology standards community
• Client Portfolio Upsell
o Manage upsell opportunity to maximize Inventures share of client budget – provide weekly forecast of upsell projected revenue and work with RM to drive closure of opportunities
• Revenue and Profitability
o Proactive management of client portfolio profitability – ensure that pricing of all new and existing services maximizes profitability and aligns with company profitability goals
o Review pricing and support on a yearly basis to determine if adjustments can be justified
• Best Practices
o Establish and implement standardized processes and best practices for all aspects of the sales cycle; SOW templates, service pricing, presentations and collateral
REQUIREMENTS:
• 8+ years business development experience within a technology related business, alliance or consulting services management industry
• Proven track record of selling consulting/management services
• Demonstrated record of increasing business and profit, including lead generation, account planning and strategic development of client growth/penetration
• Outstanding relationship and sales building skills
• Strong ability to articulate and negotiate
• Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally, app. 40+%
• Bachelors Degree required. Prefer concentration in Business or Technology field of study.
