VB.Net Developer

Qualifications:
The VB.NET Developer/Analyst will have responsibility for development, testing, implementation and maintenance of VB.NET based applications in a team environment. Development projects are varied with focus on internal tools for our different departments, as well as integration with our ERP MAS 500 System.
Responsibilities:
• Estimate tasks prior to development
• Present design for solutions to team prior to coding
• Develop application to specifications provided
• Unit test and verify code works prior to sending to QA
• Designing, implementing, testing and deploying a scalable application platform
• Designing, maintaining, and implementing SQL based middle-tier architecture
• Improving existing database schemas/tables/indices for optimal use
• Resolving any application issues/bugs that may arise due to architectural or configuration issues across the various layers
• Discuss requirements with management, staff, and customers as needed
• Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
• Understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.
Required Candidate Experience & Qualifications:
• Qualified candidates must have previous experience developing with VB.NET, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (or higher).
• Ideal applicant will have over 3 years of VB.NET development experience.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively under critical time frames with maturity, dependability and a great attitude.
Preferred, but not Required Candidate Experience & Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Experience working with MAS 500 ERP.
• Experience with Inventory Management, Sales Scheduling, and Point-of-Sales systems.
• HTML experience a plus.
