QA Automation Manager
Full-time – San Francisco, CA, or Sunnyvale, CA
You will:
• Manage a small team of QA Automation Engineers.
• Develop, extend, execute, and analyze functional, performance, and stress automation based on existing and new test cases.
• Develop, extend, and integrate new and existing infrastructure components and standalone tools.
• Leverage existing automated Test Management System, Windows test framework (C#, Object-oriented Perl), Linux test framework (Object-oriented Perl), and UI test framework (Python, Selenium).
• Develop schedules, assign tasks, track and report progress, and implement and evaluate continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/CE/EE/Math/Physics or related fields and five or more years of QA experience.
• Two or more years of engineering management experience.
• Object-oriented programming using one of the following: perl, python, ruby, tcl, C/C#/C++/objective C, or java.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks, and implementing and maintaining an automated test development process.
• Great logical debugging ability.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• Can approach complex problem-solving and troubleshooting tasks with creativity.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.
• Solid attention to detail.
• Can work on your own but know when to ask for help.
Desired qualifications:
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX-based network devices.
• Familiarity with IP networking (TCP/IP routing/switching, iOS/CatOS devices, WANs, iSCSI, etc.).
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware ESX/ESXi/vCenter, Citrix XenServer/Xen Desktop, Microsoft Hyper-V, etc).
