Contracts Manager (Managed Care, Part D, and Government) position for Pharm Co. –
Central New Jersey
NOTE: RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE STATES OF: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey or Connecticut
You will be responsible for managing all contracts (Managed Care, Part D, and Government) from bid to execution. They will provide analytical and financial support to the management team to make optimal decisions and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Government Pricing, Reporting and Compliance
- Update policies, procedures and work instructions as needed to reflect external legal and regulatory changes and internal requirements
- Oversee VA contract modification and administration (ORCA updates, Public Law Update etc.)
- Ensure PHS and VA pricing updates in systems by deadline and are communicated to wholesalers
Commercial Contract Administration
- Develop and update policies and procedures as they pertain to the contracts
- Negotiate Commercial and Medicare Part D rebate contract language
- Minimize business risk and ensure OIG compliance in all agreements through use of contract templates, approved fall-back language, existing agreements and customer negotiation language
- Articulate US Pricing Committee positions and work with Market Access team and customers to find mutually agreeable terms
- Manage contract negotiation process internally and externally through all necessary business approvals, legal guidance and contract signature. This entails facilitating, drafting, negotiating, routing for review and storing contacts and supporting documentation in compliance with company policies and directives
- Review contracts with Contracts Analyst to ensure their understanding of the terms and that terms are consistent with operational capabilities
- Facilitate, draft, negotiate, route for review, route for approval and store contacts and supporting documentation in compliance with company policies and directives.
- Develop summary reports for key language sections
- Mediate and support Market Access Team in contract development
Analytics
- Work with GTN team to create what if analysis for potential changes in pricing and/or discounting strategies – evaluating profitability including impact on government pricing
- Support management team with ad hoc analytics
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years in Contracts area in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Analytical skills/detail oriented
- Financial acumen
- Organization and planning skills
- Experience in contract administration (Managed Care & Medicare D)
- Knowledge and/or experience in rebate requirements (formulary, tiers and validations process)
- Knowledge in government contracts (FSS, Medicaid and PHS)
- Experience develop and updating policies, procedures and work instructions
- Assist in developing "what if" models for pricing and discounting decisions; modeling
- Experience pulling data from various IT systems
- Advanced Excel Skills
