Trade Relations Associate Director w/Pharm exp. position - Central New Jersey

The Associate Director, Trade Relations will play a critical role in the creation & execution of the wholesale distribution strategy for our products, ensuring that we are well positioned for new product introductions & maximizing revenue & operating profit. This person will partner w/ Marketing to develop Trade plans for new & existing products to maximize top line sales.
Responsibilities:
· Develop the overall Trade business plan in conjunction w/ the brand management team, VP of Marketing & VP Finance; ensure the development & implementation of effective trade strategies & programs by providing strategic & tactical leadership
· Proactively identify (& present) new opportunities for our products & also recommend ways to improve our Gross-to-Net & Bottom Line Profitability.
· Negotiate & manage the contractual agreements w/ wholesalers (DSA/IMA)
· Responsible for the 3PL day to day operations.
· Manage the returns from customers; identify any variances from expected levels of returns & recommend any changes needed to Returned Goods Policy.
· Manage the A/R balances in conjunction w/ Accounting & Contract/Pricing. Act as main interface to wholesalers on any deduction/non-payment issue. Track DSO & proactively recommend strategies to improve our DSO.
· Build relationships w/ the major wholesalers, pharmaceutical chains & pricing agencies across the US to ensure that key contacts are well informed about our products.
· Coordinate w/ Supply Chain on their management of product shipment logistics, inventory levels, & other related issues relating to the distribution center; act as the point person in the relationship w/ our 3PL
· Work w/ Group Logistics to ensure adequate product is available.
Requirements:
· 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience working w/ wholesale/distributors; strong understanding of typical functions & procedures
· Strong understanding of Trade processes & pharmaceutical regulatory requirements; experience working w/ a sales force
· Relationships w/ pharmaceutical chains & pricing agencies
· Ability to travel
