Senior Platform Engineer

Your work:
* Building a large scalable platform for large volume data transactions
* Developing RESTful APIs for interfacing with other components
* Own deployment of platform at a cloud service provider
* Developing and implementing strong algorithms / techniques for solving problems in a high-volume, high-availability environment
What we are looking for:
* You must have background and experience necessary to work with management in determining the best technology to use for building new applications
* Enthusiasm and a learning mindset (research and prototyping are a major part of this job)
* 5+ years of experience with large platform infrastructures
* 5+ years of experience with large Java code bases
* 3+ years of experience with NoSQL data stores - Cassandra and MongoDB
* 3+ years of experience with live streaming as well as batch analytics using Hadoop
* Experience building good RESTful APIs
* Experience with Tomcat, Apache, Python and other scripting languages
* Someone who can help distill the vision into a working prototype and then evolve to serve millions
* Extensive experience with agile development
* BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
