Engineering Graphic Designer / Production Artist (Dublin / Pleasanton / Livermore)
Seeking a Graphic Designer / Production Artist for an Award Winning International Engineering Firm.
Join a hard-working marketing team in Pleasanton, the firm's western regional headquarters that serves offices throughout the West. Candidate should have solid experience with Adobe CS5, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and be innately creative with a natural aptitude for layout and design. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and an enthusiastic team player with a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Design customized proposal templates, graphics, covers, PowerPoint presentations, banners, display boards, advertisements, mailers, brochures, and other marketing collateral.
- Develop and design unique graphics and illustrations, from concept to execution, that convey persuasive messages in a variety of marketing materials.
- Pitch graphics ideas to marketing and/or to proposal teams.
- Help produce final layout and formatting of proposals and other collateral using InDesign, Word, or other software as applicable.
- Print or support printing of completed proposals in-house.
- Manage specialty vendors for outside print production.
- Manage project photo, staff photo, and proposal graphics libraries.
- Review/finalize formatting of project sheets for consistency with template and upload to internal database and intranet.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 3-8 years as a graphic designer/production artist with layout experience for complex, multi-section documents.
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe CS5 (especially Word and PowerPoint, and InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) in a PC environment.
- Experience in deadline-driven environments with ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure while providing quick turnaround.
- Proactive self-starter contributing creative ideas for proposal layout, photo/graphic usage, other media usage, and collateral design.
- Exceptional listening skills with ability to synthesize information provided and use creative aptitude to suggest and create graphics or layouts that will strengthen a proposal.
- Excellent proofreading, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload, and track deliverables.
- Professional demeanor and personable team player.
- Ability to accurately estimate the time required to complete work projects and deliver on time.
- Portfolio of work examples required.
