Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a UI Developer for a contract opportunity.
- Our client has chosen AngularJS to help create data-driven web applications that leverage dynamic (data-driven) views, drag-and-drop functionality, etc. At a high level, they are looking to create intuitive applications that aid users to visualize data in different ways using Chart.js or jqWidgets, for example.
The role requires the individual to be in the office 8 hrs daily. This is not a role that can be filled remotely.
The Web Application / User Interface (UI) Developer is responsible for developing and supporting web applications through the entire software development lifecycle—participates in exploring business needs, requirements analysis, development, testing, production support and general maintenance for all applications of responsibility.
Must have skills:
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline. Will consider candidates with equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience developing web-based applications. 5-10 years total development experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating storyboards and prototypes demonstrating the look and feel of an application.
- HTML-5, Javascript, AJAX, MS MVC, ASP.NET.
- Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA).
- Experienced consuming Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Experienced with data visualization techniques (charts, graphs, etc).
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of multi-tier and cross-platform architectures.
- Hands-on experience with at least 3-years experience using Visual Studio.
- Understanding of user interface principles across multiple platforms (desktop, web, mobile) and cross browser compatibility.
- Ability to work independently and a self-starter.
- Excellent team-player, excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, proven track record of success, able to multi-task and prioritize workload according to corporate priorities and critical issues.
- Would like to have skills:
- Familiarity with mobile client development (i.e. Android, iOS).
- Familiarity with KnockoutJs, Backbone.
- MS SharePoint development experience.
- Hands-on programming experience in full life-cycle projects using .NET technologies and databases (SQL Server).
