We are a very successful global VC with a strong and profitable investment track, headquartered in San Francisco. We focus on early stage investments across the IT sector including FinTech, enterprise software, SaaS, Mobile and Security and we invest globally, focusing on the US, Canada, Germany and Israel.
We are adding a Global Marketing Director to our VC Team. In this newly created role, we are looking for this person to foremost help us build our narrative by leading, and executing our thought leadership to build global brand and awareness for Blumberg Capital. This role will also help support the Marketing, PR, and Branding efforts of our early stage portfolio companies who may not yet have a Marketing or PR team.
Responsibilities:
· Lead thought leadership for building our VC brand
· Plan, develop and implement all strategies for marketing, branding, social media, content, PR and events
· Lead and manage strategy of content development across VC website, blog and social channels to align with key company messages and themes
· Work closely with our portfolio entrepreneurs and develop a "marketing in a box" program to help them with marketing activities around branding, PR, social media, content, etc.
· Day-to-day management of execution of major PR strategy and initiatives (funding announcements, product launches, contributed articles, etc). Includes drafting and coordinating distribution of press releases.
· Lead conference and industry event strategy and speaking opportunities for partners and entrepreneurs. Conferences may include: SXSW, CES, VentureBeat, Money2020, Davos, etc.
· Create and manage events including CIO/CMO summits, hackathons, etc.
Qualifications include:
·
7+ years of experience developing and executing strategic marketing communications plans in support of B2B clients with a specific focus on content generation, communication planning and media relations.
·
A mix of in-house, start-up and agency experience strongly preferred
·
Experience working with entrepreneurial start-up founders, managing their overall marketing strategy, branding and communications
·
Passion for tech start-ups, entrepreneurship, and software technology
·
Experience managing PR activities for start-ups or high growth companies with a demonstrated understanding of social media strategy planning and execution.
·
Strong relationships with members of the press and key influencers within B2B/enterprise media
·
Strong writing and editing skills including experience writing press releases, brochures and other marketing related materials.
