Nexera Holding (www.nexeraholding.com), a next generation mortgage banking start-up , is looking for an Accountant who will be excited to help build a business from the ground up. We are a small but rapidly growing company looking for a proactive Accountant to join our team.
This position will be temp-to- perm. The Company is currently in San Rafael but will be based in Emeryville beginning in the middle of April.
Accountant: Reports to Controller
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Loan Vision accounting system and the Lending QB loan origination system.
- Assist with month end and year end close
- Post monthly journal entries
- Reconcile GL accounts on a monthly basis
- Perform daily reconciliations of wires for funded loans
- Record daily sold loan activity
- Provide Ad Hoc Reporting
- Accounts Payable
- Assist with audits
- Record cash receipts
- Produce year end 1099s and 1098s
Requirements:
- BS degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years' general accounting experience .
- Mortgage Banking experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
