We currently have an opening for a Cost Accountant/Analyst Operations.
Job Description:
This is a key position within the Operations Department; In addition to providing the analysis, the individual will proactively work with functional leaders to deliver Operational Excellence.
•Develop models for in-depth analyze and interpretation of product cost drivers, and partners with team on "cost out" strategies
•Benchmark product costs between domestic and international suppliers to ensure a competitive cost structure.
•Prepare ad hoc reports leveraging multiple platforms to support analysis and decisions by the supply chain and manufacturing leadership
•Assist Material's team on EOL buys and analysis
•Analysis of manufacturing variances to standard, inventory reporting and analysis, including excess and obsolescence, inventory turns, and roll forward analysis
•Maintain Operations budget and forecast records, financial metrics and perform financial analysis of actual results versus forecasts and budgets, working with leadership to provide insight as to all significant variances to forecast and budget.
•Identify cost reduction opportunities within all aspects of operations
•Collaborates with the Finance Department for calculating and validating standard costs, analyzing manufacturing variances and identifying drivers
•Provide the analytical support that will enable our Supply Chain & Operations teams to make informed strategic decisions
•Maintains monthly metrics & analysis
•Supports Operations Senior management as directed
Skills
•Strong knowledge of cost, inventory and extensive manufacturing variance analysis
•Product cost modeling, Activity Based Costing
•Good knowledge of purchasing, production planning, logistics and inventory control/planning.
•Ability to manage complex projects and work independently within deadlines.
•Strong intuitive, problem-solving and decision making skills
•Advanced spreadsheet skills and outstanding analytical skills
Experience & Traits:
•Accounting/manufacturing costing experience. SAP Costing experience preferred
•5+ years' experience in similar or complementary role
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•Financial analysis, cost analysis in manufacturing environment
•Exceptional results orientation, with a high degree of personal initiative
Education:
Bachelor´s degree in a Business or Technical field, MBA a plus.
