Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a full time Content Marketing Evangelist consultant for our client located in San Jose. The Content Marketing Evangelist will be responsible for developing and executing a digital media solutions strategy to meet marketing objectives. Candidacy for this assignment requires a proven background in creating strategic/actionable marketing plans, and specifically, driving content/programs to optimize corporate presence on the Web. Must be passionate about fostering content marketing excellence in a complex, highly matrixed organization.

The ideal candidate is an extroverted, confident, flexible driver. Must possess exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills as well as program and project management skills for diplomatically driving people to consensus.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Build and foster strong relationships with product counterparts in other organizations

* Socialize and train orgs on good content marketing practices

* Work on pilot programs to showcase content marketing best practices and create supportive case studies

* Fostering adoption of content marketing best practices across multiple marketing disciplines

* Participate in the planning and development of Segment marketing plans

* Develop Digital Media Solutions Plan to define goals, objectives, strategy, and tactics, including KPIs and a measurement plan

* Who, what, when, where, why for content (audience, topic, format, placement, promotion, goal, measurement)

* Work with Segment team to develop a content strategy and editorial calendar to keep web content fresh and relevant, aligning with defined marketing themes or focus

* Understand SEO best practices and ensure integration into plans

* Create standard web metrics reporting dashboard in Omniture Site Catalyst and report data to segment teams, with analysis and recommendations for content performance improvement

* Identify internal and external resources/vendors required to execute the project: developer, writer, etc.

* Lead project teams from inception, launch to execution on time and within budget through effective management of schedule, resources, scope/deliverables, obstacles and risks

* Work daily with marketing managers, marcom managers, and developers

* Effectively communicate expectations and status to team members in a timely and clear fashion

* Facilitate and participate in reviews and QA to ensure high quality deliverables

* Track projects in SalesForce.com

Skills:

* 10+ years’ combined program and/or project management experience in a B to B marketing organization within the Technology industry. Must have experience working for at least one large company

* Passion for content marketing and solid working knowledge of current online marketing mediums. Must have the desire to learn, understand and apply new technologies

* Have a good understanding of how content marketing can be successful and drive adoption amongst stakeholders

* Ability to quickly build trust and rapport and quickly mitigate conflict to resolution

* Strong writing, editing and verbal communications skills

* Confident, diplomatic and credible presence for partnering with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization

* Competency working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

* Experience with various project management methodologies and ability to tailor approach for success

* Solid proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Project, Visio, Sharepoint, WebEx, Salesforce.com

* Proficiency with metrics generation and analytics tools: Omniture Site Catalyst, Clickstream, Google Analytics

Strongly preferred:

* Prior Cisco experience or experience in a related field and/or a highly technical environment

* Content management and publishing experience

* Awareness of social media platforms for business/marketing purposes

* BA/BS in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or similar

Rate: $2,400/week, as a w2 employee of Crawford Group

Location: Onsite at client offices in San Jose. No phone calls, please.

Hours/Duration: Full time, ASAP-ongoing
