Senior Application Security Specialist
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline required.
* Five years of prior experience in a software development role using one or more of the following languages: Java (preferred), ColdFusion, and PHP. At least one year in a dedicated application security role desirable.
* Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with emphasis in REST and SOAP based web services.
* Knowledge of the Java Spring framework.
* Hands-on experience with IBM AppScan or other application vulnerability scanner.
* Knowledge of Internet-based application hosting platforms, including WebSphere, Apache/Tomcat/Linux, and IIS/Windows.
* Knowledge of databases, including Oracle and MS SQL desirable.
* Knowledge of PKI and use of common encryption libraries.
* Must be familiar with risk analysis and application vulnerability assessment methodologies, as well as information security concepts and methodologies.
* Solid and current understanding of application security vulnerabilities and countermeasures. Must be able to provide and recommend remediation approach and not just provide vulnerability information.
* Familiarity with major regulations and industry standards including PCI DSS.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills. Documentation requirements include: incident/defect reports, audit/compliance reports, remediation recommendations, reporting of application security statistics and metrics, technical standards, procedures, and guidelines.
* Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
* Professional security certifications a plus.
