Director, Worldwide Automotive/IVI Solutions

Location: California, preferred. Other Major US Cities will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Services & Solutions Sales.
• Responsibility to manage and expand Automotive/IVI business.
• Initially responsible for $7-10M in annualized quota/revenue.
• Manage and develop, with local teams and resources, the global relationship with major Wind River high-level clients in the Automotive/IVI industry.
• Work with sales, marketing, finance and services delivery organizations
to develop and close business.
• Communicate effectively with general managers and other senior executives.
• Develop a long-term sales and account management strategy; devise and implement tactics to realize that strategy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, aggressive and energetic sales leader with a minimum of 10 years experience in successful sales and global automotive account management. Demonstrated Automotive/IVI solution selling success. Will have experience effectively managing relationships that generate significant revenue growth over extended periods of time. Professional Services sales experience. Additional qualifications include:

• A successful track record selling business value to clients.
• Evidence of successfully managing and growing business relationships with high-level clients.
• Significant experience as an individual contributor exceeding assigned quota.
• A successful solutions sales approach with both technical and executive-level decision makers.
• Major account planning and ability to negotiate large deals
• Ability to grasp the technical aspects of IVI systems and have an understanding of the embedded software business.
• Proven experience dealing with complex business and software development issues.
• The ability to take advice and counsel from peers.
• An inherent sense of urgency.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
• Technical and/or business related degree, with an MBA preferred.

Finally, the successful candidate will be articulate, smart and a recognized senior executive able to positively represent Wind River with customers, analysts, the press, and industry pundits. While being an intrepid leader, s/he will hold the highest integrity in all of his/her actions.
