Description:
Software AG is seeking an Inside Sales Account Executive who will be part of their Inside Sales team for the San Jose, CA Bay Area office. The Executive´s primary purpose will be to contact prospective clients via telephone, and obtain a commitment to evaluate Software AG's products and solutions. Sales opportunity generation and qualification in support of the field will be undertaken, as well as the development of business in net-new markets for Software AG within a specific geographical territory within targeted customer/prospect base.

•Work within a designated geographical & vertical territory to prospect, develop, and produce qualified opportunities resulting in high quality sales for the field sales team

•Work the valued (A, B & C) accounts to uncover new business opportunities

•Follow-up and qualify all targeted leads resulting from marketing campaigns collected through email, web, phone, and tradeshows including SBS related activities

•Profile & Research target companies to uncover business stake holders as a component of cold calling, lead generation and qualification activities using research tools available

•Be the business driver and penetrate new accounts to initiate discussions with key business stakeholders (C level) within defined accounts

•Demonstrate success and track record of consistent performance (quota achievement) and accountability using multiple sales approaches

•Focus on uncovering new opportunities, help with progressing existing opportunities, and help field sales create referenceable accounts

•Work closely with market development teams in delivering vertical/horizontal value proposition

•Understanding of webMethods solutions, marketplace, and competition is key

•Enhance personal business solution selling skills and highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills

•Build working relationships with field sales, sales engineers, market development, and Marketing in respective territory to develop joint account plans/strategies

Requirements:
• 4 years of college degree or equivalent Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing or Public Relations communications

• 3 years professional experience

• Proficient using the Microsoft Office suite of tools + SalesForce.com

• 2 – 4 years of inside sales, telesales or inquiry management experience in a technology environment, preferably selling enterprise software and services

• Proven, verifiable track record of consistently exceeded sales quotas

• Able to successfully negotiate with clients and potential customers

• Solution, Consultative, and Sandler Methodology training a plus
