The Finance Manager is a key member of Shutterfly's financial planning & analysis team, and has a visible role in supporting the Company's planning and analysis efforts. While reporting into the Finance team, this position will work closely with senior leadership within the Technology group. A successful candidate will be able to work closely with individual departments to implement the necessary processes and controls to ensure financial results are accurate and in line with targets. Additionally, this person will be responsible for surfacing and presenting key business insights and recommendations to the Finance team and senior business leadership. The position reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities include:
Partnering with Technology leadership team to create department level annual expense budgets and quarterly targets (both capital and operating expense)
Preparing monthly budget vs. actual variance analyses for all Technology departments
Partnering with the Company's Accounting team with month end and quarter end close reporting with respect to the close package and the accuracy and completeness of the financial results
Partnering with the Technology department owners to provide operational analysis and reporting
Performing ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions including investments in long term capital assets
Experience & Requirements:
B.S. degree in finance, accounting, or economics
5 - 7 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a large growth company
Experience should include reporting responsibilities and analytical projects
Prior forecasting and reporting experience Oracle ERP and Hyperion
Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals
Able to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment
