Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Senior Marketing Communications Manager with solid, recent experience in creating marketing, promotional, and sponsorship and event experience strategies for large scale conference and various size event programs (program budgets exceeding $1M). The Sr. Marketing Communications Manager will partner with our clients to define overall program objectives, revenue budget models, pricing and promotional strategies, sponsorship programs and opportunities, audience acquisition and communication strategies and programs. The manager will also implement and deliver against the strategies and tactics. The ideal candidate is a strong, well rounded marketing communications professional, both strategic and tactical, accustomed to working in a fast paced, results-oriented, customer-centric environment. Must be resourceful, enthusiastic, high energy and creative with a demonstrated ability to drive measurable results.
Specific responsibilities include:
Ensure clear business objectives are created and the event and conference programs map to them
Leverage key integrated marketing communications planning to implement against overall program goals
Define and standardize consistent process, framework and training for event marketing engagement
Analyze programs for effectiveness at segment/campaign level
Identify new marketing opportunities based on customer insight, industry trends and competitive research
Define key program stakeholders, create functional teams, manage expectations to timeline and budgets
Collaborate with internal client stakeholders, drive event marketing strategy and planning, ensuring alignment with corporate and brand objectives
Develop program success metrics and provide tracking mechanisms, analysis and course corrections throughout programs
Manage target audience research, analysis, definition by segmentation, audience acquisition strategy development and implementation to goals
Full program development and management:
Site inspection, venue selection and recommendations
Event theme and messaging development
Sponsorship sales and management
Partner participation
Conducting RFPs, vendor selection, negotiation and contracts
Identifying and leading the core team of vendors
Defining break-out sessions and content roadmaps
Speaker procurement and management
Event marketing campaign development, spanning online/social media, and traditional
Web-based registration, Speaker Portals, Sponsor Portals, Microsites and Social Media
Travel logistics
Oversee and maintain master timelines and production schedules
Full budget management: Drive financial reporting, mapping bottoms-up budget with top-down directives for all aspects of the programs
Master of onsite implementation
Documenting and presenting post-event metrics
Recommendations for program improvement
Skills:
12 to 15 years' experience managing integrated marketing/communications programs, including setting event marketing program strategies. Must include recent experience working for at least one technology company. Agency experience a strong plus
Strong communications skills: verbal/public speaking, written, presentations
Strategic, creative and business minded while ensuring strong delivery/execution results
Experience in market research and/or marketing analytics
Strong project management capabilities. Must have the ability to juggle multiple, concurrent demanding initiatives and projects
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar
Salary: D.O.E. as a w2 employee of Crawford Group; includes benefits
Location: Onsite in our Campbell, CA office, plus 25% domestic travel. Local, S.F. Bay Area candidates only; no phone calls please
