Our technology platform takes large data projects for leading enterprise clients like LinkedIn and Google, and breaks them into smaller tasks called "microwork" which are completed by our workers.

The Job
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Director will lead the development of marketing strategies and integrated marketing plans for Samasource. These plans will support both long-term growth and immediate-term revenue. The role includes developing deep consumer insights, creating marketing and positioning strategies, turning those strategies into concrete marketing plans, and working closely with the sales team to ensure successful execution and delivery against revenue and customer goals. This enterprise level sell will require creative target customer identification and strategies to identify the right and interested buyers within large enterprises.
In addition, the Marketing Director will support efforts to drive grants and donations for Samasource. Today, we are funded through a combination of donations from foundations and individual donors.
Responsibilities
• Implement a communications and marketing plan that includes multiple forms of media (i.e. social media, high touch and high tech campaigns, website, press, etc.) and drives both sales and donations.
• Working closely with the sales team, execute high-impact campaigns to drive sales and donations.
• Write and/or edit content and imagery for collateral that supports sales (i.e. newsletters, case studies, white papers, videos, webinars, website, press releases, fact sheets, presentations, and social media sites, etc.).
• Manage the production and availability of marketing collateral and website content and updates
• Direct the work of assigned graphic designers, consultants, and interns.
• Identify conferences, meet ups, events, etc. of interest and secure high visibility speaking slots.
• Prepare blog posts.
• Monitor and track the results of the organization's marketing and communications efforts
• Ensure brand integrity for all external publications by managing brand guidelines as well as oversee communications and marketing policies and procedures.
• Ensure positioning and execution consistency across two key goals: sales and fund raising.
• Track competitors and their offering/positioning
Desired Skills and Experience
• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and a master at multi-tasking. Must be able to plan and execute.
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Five or more years of progressive experience in marketing
• Experience in both B2B and B2C markets
• Experience for a startup company, preferably in product marketing
• Track record of success at driving revenues into enterprises
• Ability to research and identify potential decision makers within the enterprise marketplace
• Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, etc.) required.
• Strong analytical skills to track performance
• Solid understanding of B2B and B2C marketing programs and approaches
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably MBA in marketing
• Authorized to work in the USA required
• Passionate about Samasource's mission
This position is based out of our headquarters in San Francisco.
