Job Description
As Credit Manager, your specific responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for the daily collection and maintenance of an accounts receivable portfolio of core client accounts that may vary in volume, line of business, or region.
• Works with client VMS's (Vendor Management Service) to extract necessary information and report to Credit Team and/or client.
• Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers including, field sales offices, clients, other RHI organizational units and members of the Credit Department while adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
Credit risk evaluation, reconciliation of accounts, resolution of cash disputes, and timely and accurate processing of sales and bad debt write-offs.
• Adheres to corporate policies and procedures and may prepare ad-hoc reports, file documentation, and develop written correspondence.
• Manage and document the daily collection activity of an assigned A/R portfolio.
• Handle special projects and assignments.
• Research account disputes and discrepancies; perform account reconciliation.
• Identify projected legal and write-off accounts within the assigned portfolio.
• Finalize outstanding balances through negotiation or by forwarding accounts to Strategic Collection.
• Analyze accounts and access credit risk.
• Maintain portfolio at Corporate Goal. No aged residual credits over 150 days.
• Communicate and service branch offices to address collection issues, billing disputes, process job order overrides and credit checks, and responds to inquiries.
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Credit and collection related training and negotiation skills.
• 4+years� credit and collections background.
• Strong systems and Excel experience (v-lookups & pivot tables strongly preferred).
• Collections experience (corporate collections, not consumer), pleasant and friendly but firm personality.
• Good reconciliation and organizational skills.
• Must be detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks, stay focused, and meet deadlines.
• Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook experience with or aptitude to learn PeopleSoft, knowledge of 10 key and basic math.
• Customer service-oriented.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy and legal procedures.
