This position provides overall strategic direction for Talent Acquisition by ensuring that plans, programs and services are strongly aligned with business strategy and priorities and results in hiring best-in-class talent. The incumbent will partner with the senior leaders to provide consultation related to all Talent Acquisition initiatives including standardized process recommendations related to speed of delivery, sourcing strategies, saervice level agreements, team structure, budget and overall governance structure. This role maintains knowledge of cutting edge practices in the marketplace and best practices in Talent Acquisition.
Core Responsibilities
Staff Development:
• Build and lead a talent acquisition team of 8 – 10 specialized recruiters and support staff members. Manage, motivate and guide team in obtaining their hiring objectives.
• Develop and execute performance management and career growth programs for team.
• Implement sustainable and scalable recruitment, training and performance measurement programs that help ensure retention.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning HR Business Partner:
• Partner with management to set and implement Talent Acquisition strategy, programs and approaches consistent with the company’s business strategy, operational strategy and market trends.
• Act as an advisor to management regarding the level and type of compensation, benefits, and people development programs required to attract, retain, motivate and reward a highly qualified work force.
• Establish and oversee the successful implementation of comprehensive sourcing and recruiting plans. This will include a combination of: campus recruiting, Co-Op & internship programs & experienced hires (over 700 hires per year)
• Develop and manage talent acquisition budget. Create, track and monitor metrics.
• Develop talent acquisition best practices, processes and policies to be shared and implemented across the organization.
• Develop workforce planning model to meet talent demands in a proactive manner.
• Identify, brand and execute cutting edge diversity and social media recruiting resources to facilitate hiring over 700 employees per year (including experienced, college/intern and Co-Op hires)
• Act as a change agent for progressive talent acquisition programs.
• Participate as a key member of the HR Leadership team and develop strong relationships across the HR organization and enterprise. Play key role in facilitating change management with Talent Acquisition team and others.
• Partner with cross disciplinary teams to develop companywide hiring plan that includes volume, skill sets and geography.
Miscellaneous:
• Build and manage the processes for third party staff augmentation firms, possess an understanding of capacity and demand, vendor management and metrics for these firms.
• Implement / execute recruitment branding programs including an internal employee brand and an external recruiting brand.
• Assess and implement a new applicant tracking system and talent acquisitions tools.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Qualified candidates must possess the following education, experience and skills:
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications or a another field relevant to the essential functions of this job description
• Must possess a minimum of 8-12 years progressive recruiting experience working in a corporate Human Resources department, including work experience focused in recruitment and retention
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years leadership experience
• Reputation for building and sustaining aggressive diversity recruiting initiatives
• Must demonstrate evidence of a proven track record in successfully leading high volume recruitment efforts for a large organizations
• Successful development and execution of cutting edge branding and social media initiatives across experienced and college program hires (with trackable success metrics)
• Previous experience with performing strategic planning activities in previous Human Resources roles
• Must demonstrate proven experience handling confidential Human Resources matters
• Proven track record of managing an aggressive college recruiting program (including Co-Op and intern programs)
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
