We seek an experienced Product Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the strategic positioning, messaging, go-to-market planning and execution of outbound marketing programs for several solutions across all market segments. This position is based in San Jose, CA.
The qualified candidate will work collaboratively with marketing communications, product management, sales, CTO and engineering teams to define and execute programs. The role requires a blend of technical depth, product marketing & channel marketing expertise, market knowledge and strong communications skills.
Responsibilities for this position include:
*Defining and executing go-to-market plans for Symmetricom solutions (software and hardware).
*Creating sales tools including presentations, sales sheets, whitepapers, customer case studies, ROI collateral, web messaging, etc.
*Defining and executing demand generation programs.
*Managing channel marketing programs.
*Playing an active role in training and supporting the sales force through formal and informal means.
Essential Qualifications:
*BSEE / CS undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred.
*US Citizen or Permanent Resident
*8+ years product marketing experience in embedded software and hardware solutions in telecom, networking, and communications segments. Power utility market knowledge a plus.
*Demonstrated ability to bring new products to market in emerging competitive environments.
*Demonstrated ability to position, package and promote products while launching them to both the internal and external market audiences.
*Strong project management, collaborative and cross-functional coordination skills.
*Exceptional communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
*Proactive work style, self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative
*Excellent writing and web content development skills
*Experience with public speaking
