The Manager of Direct Mail is responsible for overseeing all direct mail campaign program management, strategy, and reporting for GymboreeÂ's family of brands. This individual will develop messaging strategy in close partnership with Planning and Merchandising. S/he will strategize mail format to optimize campaign effectiveness, maximize profitability, and infuse innovation where possible with sourcing and print production partners.

The Manager of Direct Mail will develop and present creative briefs to cross-functional teams, attend regular traffic meetings to ensure smooth flow of execution, and troubleshoot issues/concerns as they arise and manage routing process across cross-functional counterparts. S/he will also be responsible for campaign strategy, development, segmentation, and execution included, but not limited to developing and managing campaign schedule and cadence, translating business objectives into list segmentation criteria, developing stratified offer strategy to optimize incremental sales and profitability, and plan and execute in-season and long term testing strategies. S/he will identify new opportunities within the customer file to influence future strategy and build out targeted customer lists using Epicor campaign management software to segment, filter and select customers to support marketing and financial goals. The Manager, Direct Mail will work in close partnership with third party direct mail Data Processing/Mail House partner to coordinate receipt and processing of files and ensure on time in-home delivery and manage file upload processes and campaign reporting and analytics. S/he will compile and present hindsight campaign reporting, including learnings and recommendations to inform future planning and ongoing customer relationship management efforts.

The ideal candidate will have several years experience in customer segmentation and circulation in the postal mail environment and a proven record of success in developing and stewarding incremental direct mail programs. Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be highly detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Should also have the ability to work independently and balance a workload that consists of ongoing, detail-oriented campaign development processes as well as project management and system improvements.

Job Requirements :
The ideal candidate will possess a BachelorÂ's degree with 5-7 years relevant direct mail experience, preferably in retail, including segmentation as well as project management. S/he will have experience with Epiphany or other CRM campaign management tool. They must have intermediate to advanced computer skills, especially with Excel and PowerPoint. The individual is an analytical and logical thinker. They must have strong written, verbal and presentation skills required. They must be able to work well in a multi-task environment under tight time constraints, organized and proactive and with impeccable attention to detail.
