JOB DESCRIPTION:
My client is looking for a top-performing HR solution sales executive to pursue opportunities within its Government channel.

Candidates should have 10 years plus sales experience in the public sector, an entrepreneurial spirit, relevant industry experience, and demonstrated selling attributes/techniques.

The position exists to significantly expand the relationship of my client with US Federal Agencies and state/local governments.

The Vice President of Business Development, Public Sector/Government is responsible for selling and creating marketing opportunities for the company, within various federal agencies and departments.

The role involves:

•Creating awareness, building relationships with key decision makers, and developing/pursuing leads to enable the company access to their employees for marketing purposes;
•Qualifying and closing opportunities
•Identifying and Attending key events

The Vice President of Business Development (VBD) is responsible for creating strategic and tactical plans to uncover and close a range of opportunities and utilize research and data to help identify key target opportunities.  The VBD is responsible with infiltrating and influencing decision-makers within the target agencies such as - VA, DoD, DoE, DHS, GSA, HHS, NIH and others. The VBD will leverage these relationships to introduce the company, and create and pursue selling opportunities.

In addition to the above demand generation activities, the VBD is responsible for demand management, i.e., working with the marketing team to determine the solution details and approach. This will require teamwork, fostering of relationships, and developing consensus.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Required Skills:
•Successful track record of selling services within Federal, State and local agencies
•Significant business relationships with key decision makers, particularly sales experience within human resources in the public sector
•10 years plus of sales and business development experience - solid executive presence
•Ability to work as a team player
•Willingness and ability to share knowledge with others
•Strong presentation skills
•In depth knowledge of selling to government agencies at federal, state and local levels
•An ability to influence decision-makers
•The ability to craft and execute strategic and tactical plans to close opportunities
•A consistent track record in driving revenue within this channel
•Familiarity with selling intangibles
•Willingness to travel
•Undergraduate degree; MBA preferred

 

Full-time positions – Must be U.S.Citizen or Green Card
