Manufacturing OnSite Manager Position with BHFL Training Group - Porterdale GA (east of Atlanta)
My client is hiring top talent for this position. This is a highly visible position and will manage 2+ individuals.
Manufacturing experience or knowledgeable of Toyota production is highly desirable.
This is a hands-on position and seeking a mid/upper level talent with process improvement, Six Sigma , flow process experience and knows how to run lead Rapid Improvement Events. This role will interface with all levels in the 24x7x365 manufacturing operation.
Job Duties
1. Helps the Leadership Team develop a vision that effects positive operational and cultural changes to include developing tactical strategies to achieve the desired vision, identifying long and short-term objectives to support the facility’s goals, proactively and effectively influencing necessary members of management and other opinion leaders to identify, address and eliminate obstacles (either process-related or people-related) and leading the change of systems/processes as required in support of the business initiatives.
2. Acts as a change agent to bring about improvements in the manufacturing and supply chain processes through the formation and management of plant Rapid Improvement Events;
3. Launches activities needed to incorporate the business system into the plant culture; tracking all changes/improvements made to provide Plant Management the assurance that changes are effective and lasting; reviewing new procedures/controls and appraising the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and working with department managers/supervisors to resolve any issues that might arise during implementation and/or maintenance phases.
4. Communicates effectively the teams’ results to all internal and external customers; and
5. To meet site financial objectives identified for the business system transformation including establishing budgets, approving expenditures, monitoring costs and analyzing the return on the cost of the change investment.
6. Other duties as identified by the management team to further the plant’s Veyance Business System transformation.
Position Requirements
•BA or BS in Business, Engineering or other technical degree
•five plus years of industry experience
•Manufacturing experience preferred
•Must have demonstrated leadership abilities.
•Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
•Prior hands on experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles or Toyota Production System (TPS) a plus.
