We have an immediate opening for a retail-savvy sales support individual with strong knowledge of retail markets. We are a 20-year luxury brand gift product company, and this position is based at our corporate office in San Rafael. This exceptional opportunity requires you to have superior communication and organizational skills, be a self-starter, 100% accurate and experienced with Excel. The role is a hands-on position working directly with our sales manager to support our sales team in both administrative and customer service functions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support our sales team in all administrative and customer service functions for selling high-quality, design intensive product line to big box retailers
• Create timelines and priorities to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Gather competitive retail sales data from store visits and market research; create Excel tables for data analysis
• Organize and prepare for company sales meetings; coordinate ongoing round tables and meetings
• Drive the project and the product program management processes
• Follow up throughout the product development and sample cycles to ensure sales and customer deadlines are met
• Generate support documents specific to customers by sourcing and delivering information from multiple departments
• Assist in preparing sales presentations by assortment building and photographing samples; create photos/jpegs
• Manage sales calendar and department filing system
• Coordinate with Product Management on samples and update sales assortment sheets; pull samples and prepare jpegs for assortment planning
• Coordinate with Costing in retail pricing, case pack, and quote sheets
• Create and distribute sales reports from internal/external data
Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience is required in retail services, client relations, customer service, and account management
• Must have a background in sales support, analytics or customer service for a consumer product company
• Must be retail savvy and have strong market knowledge, market research skills, and understand the demographics by retailer
• Excellent computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and database programs
• High-energy, very detail-oriented with great follow-through skills
• Exceptional organization and communication skills; deadline-driven
• Team player and ability to adapt to changing priorities with professionalism
