Splashtop, the leading provider of remote desktop and mobile access solutions, is hiring a Sales Lead Development Intern with potential to convert to full-time Lead Development Representative. This is an hourly paid position ($20/hr) and the number of hours may range from 15-20 hours a week. This position is available immediately and requires the intern to work at Splashtop headquarters in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate would be a graduating senior as this is a position we are looking to fill long-term.
Job responsibilities include:
* prioritizing and qualifying sales leads from several different salesforce reports
* making outbound phone calls to assess size and scope of business opportunities, understanding customer�s business need for remote access, and setting follow-up appointments with sales/engineering personnel
* logging summaries of customer discussions into salesforce lead record
* becoming familiar with Splashtop�s core products and being able to describe product details to sales leads to gauge best-fit solution
* guiding the lead through the product trial process and installation/configuration of Splashtop SaaS product
Skill set must-haves:
* prior phone experience (customer service, sales outreach) and willing to make on order of 40 outbound calls a day
* Microsoft Outlook knowledge to handle setting follow-up appointments and customer email interactions
* excellent verbal and written communication skills
* friendly and helpful attitude
* enough technical background to learn/understand/explain the benefits of remote access software
Skill set nice-to-haves:
* salesforce.com experience
* sales development experience
* Citrix/RDP/remote access knowledge
