The Brand Creative team is searching for a skilled, experienced, highly organized, detail-oriented program manager who thrives in a fast-paced, quick-changing environment. The Brand Creative team is responsible for providing centralized editorial content, design, and production services and strategic consultation to corporate and product marketing groups across VMware. The program manager works closely with each client to plan and manage the creative development and production of all project deliverables, from conception through completion. Projects include event and marketing campaign themes and design systems, messaging and design guideline and tools, videos, infographics, digital/interactive experiences, email, and collateral ranging from data sheets and brochures to white papers and case studies. Primary responsibilities include scoping projects to identify key objectives, developing creative briefs and schedules, and tracking all milestones day to day to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget, and surpass client expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

Superior project management and organizational skills:

• Partner with clients and stakeholders across VMware to scope projects, helping identify audiences, objectives, key messages, and other key elements required for creative projects

• Manage and track multiple job requests simultaneously

• Ensure all phases of creative development and publishing are resourced and scheduled, including, brainstorming, writing and editorial, design, production, reviews and approvals, proofreading, posting, printing, logistics coordination, and metrics tracking

• Coordinate kick-off meetings and help ensure creative team receives all relevant information and background to initiate projects

• Create detailed production schedules for clients and creative teams; update schedules and communicate to teams as schedules and scope of work changes

• Oversee the flow of information between Brand Creative and department teams

• Work with Creative Director and Editorial Director to ensure projects comply with brand guidelines, track to creative brief requirements, and satisfy clients' input

• Develop and maintain solid working relationships; encouraging a collaborative approach with departmental team members and clients

• Ensure that details are correct and consistently updated in project tracking database tool

• Develop and document processes and workflows to maximize team productivity and efficiency

• Help develop and maintain Brand Creative internal communication channels, including social media and intranet content, that showcase and evangelize the team's services, tools, and guidelines

• Traffic incoming requests and work with Creative Director, art directors, and Editorial Director to assign projects to appropriate team member

• Assume additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Proven success in a similar marketing communications position for at least 5 years in global technology company

• Knowledge of the creative services creative development and production process

• Experienced and comfortable interfacing with cross-functional teams at all levels

• Strong communications skills – both written and verbal

• Proactive, responsive, and customer service oriented with a strong sense of project ownership and accountability; ability to prioritize and work independently

• Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving

• Proficient PC/Mac skills including MS Office and other tools; SharePoint, WordPress and basic HTML skills a plus
