Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Part Time Packaging Art Project Manager for our technology client in Santa Cruz, CA. The Packaging Art Project Manager will assist another Crawford Group consultant, acting as project manager for a variety of client artwork/packaging deliverables.
The ideal candidate has a good sense of design, color, photography and typography. Seeking a consultant who is an organized, detail-oriented strong project manager, able to deliver technically accurate files. Must excel in a fast-paced environment, be resourceful in troubleshooting and problem solving and a confident and articulate communicator.
Specific Responsibilities:
Attend team meetings as necessary, prepare weekly status report, share with stakeholders and track translation expenses
Gather components including major parts (sleeve, RPET, inner boxes or other items with print on them), SKU matrix listing regions, box languages and countries, die lines, compliance markings, photography, marketing and technical copy, third-party logo art and statements, copyright block copy (write draft for Legal to review) and any other misc components including gradients, arrows, background textures
Work with internal team members (Graphic designer, Industrial designer, Brand manager, Product manager, Marcom) to gather necessary images/photos/designs, product language, copy, and project manage the process
Work with legal to gain approval
Manage translations for country-specific language
Review final layouts for accuracy
Skills:
5+ years of packaging artwork design/production experience tech company experience a strong plus
Proficiency in Mac environment, using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and PDF workflow
Understanding of corporate branding, brand guidelines and brand systems
Well-versed in all aspects of digital print production, preparing files for print and troubleshooting files
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines and react to adjustments on the fly
Strong communicator, verbal and written
Solid editorial capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelors' degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Business or similar
RATE: D.O.E. hourly non-exempt, as W-2 employee of Crawford Group
LOCATION: Tuesday/Thursday onsite at client's office in Santa Cruz, CA, remainder offsite/remote/WFH/telecommute/virtual. No phone calls.
HOURS/DURATION: Part time, 20-24 hours/week with the potential to increase. ASAP – ongoing
