COBRA Specialist for HR Health/Welfare Benefits position with Continuon Services -Midtown Atlanta
Continuon Services is seeking an experienced Full-Time COBRA Specialist I to provide high level customer service through knowledge of benefit plans, applicable laws, and extensive experience in working with Health and Welfare benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service to clients, plan participants, and vendor contacts.
* Process COBRA election, eligibility, and enrollments (additions, changes, and terminations) in a consistent and timely manner (both electronic and manual).
* Produce COBRA notifications for qualified beneficiaries within a specific time-frame.
* Process notification of COBRA elections, changes, and terminations to outside vendors.
* Process monthly payments for plan participants as received as well as take payment information over the phone for processing.
* Audit/Reconcile monthly activity reports.
* Maintain high standards of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with protected health information and / or data of sensitive nature.
* Other duties as assigned by COBRA Team Leader.
Qualifications:
* Excellent communication, telephone etiquette, and organizational skills.
* High level of problem solving skills.
* Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, and Access – a MUST)
* Excellent follow-up skills with a great attention to details.
* Must be able to multi-task.
* Must be able to work independently as well as work well in a team environment.
* Clear and thorough understanding of COBRA & FSA laws and regulations.
* Thorough understanding of group insurance benefits, COBRA & FSA compliance, eligibility requirements, ability to interpret client plan documents (SPD’s)
Education Requirements:
* Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
