Digital Project Manager-Temporary Position

Description:
The Digital Project Manager's (DPM) role is to serve as one of the faces of the Digital team to the greater Archdiocese. The DPM is proactive, organized, reliable, detail-oriented and stays cool under pressure. The DPM keeps track of the digital team deadlines and communicate with vendors, partners and departments for all projects. The DPM coordinates, prepares materials and agendas, and track notes and action items for all meetings. As the day-to-day relationship manager, the DPM has the opportunity to have a strategic voice in client campaigns and activities and should have a passion for the latest digital media trends, technologies and methodologies.
Requirements:
Because all Archdiocesan employees represent the Roman Catholic Church, they are expected to conduct themselves according to the goals and mission of the Church in performance of their work.
Specifically, the Project Manager:
• Represents the Archbishop, the Archdiocese, and the Digital Office as instructed by the CDO and Director of Social Media in contacts within the archdiocese including: department leads, pastors, business managers, etc. and externally to social media advocates, influencers, bloggers, vendors and media.
• Responsible for regular for delivery of client (departmental) goals within set timeframes, the Digital Project Manager oversees the necessary labor both internal and freelance to accomplish team objectives.
• Works against specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborates with analyst to track progress and report to clients.
• Coordinates research to determine appropriate communities, sites, forums and platforms to accomplish goals, engage people and disseminate news.
• Serves as liaison to the New Evangelization, Life, Vocations, Education, Family Life and other offices and is capable of representing each office online, reviewing content and writing in the "voice" of each office.
• Responsible for interdepartmental partnership development and building additional opportunities for the digital team within the Archdiocese.
• Works hand in hand with graphic designer, developer, photographer, videographer in content development and distribution process.
• Manages the master calendar for the team and schedules meetings as needed.
• Aware of project management/social monitoring/workflow/analytics software such as SmartSheet, Google Docs, Wordpress etc.
• Proposes new ideas to improve the social and digital communications processes.
• Serves as liaison with vendors.
• Tracks invoices and monthly budgets.
• Is immediately available in case of crisis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, typically:
• Active member of a Roman Catholic faith community.
• Bachelor's degree.
• An interest in social and digital communications, advertising and media.
• Strong written communications skills are absolutely necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
• Archdiocesan principles, practices and organization.
• Current issues and conditions affecting the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Catholic Church.
• Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.
Skill in:
• Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
• Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
Ability to:
• Manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
• Accomplish projects with little supervision.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
• Sit for sustained periods of time on a daily basis.
• Perform tasks requiring intermittent bending, stooping, and walking.
• Sustain frequent movement of the fingers, wrists, hands, and arms.
