Role: Channel Marketing Communication Manager
Location: South Bay
Timeframe: April- September
Position Overview:
Channel Impact is seeking a Channel Communications Manager to lead a communication initiative for our client. This role does require being on site with the client 1-2 days/week.
This is a W2 opportunity with Channel Impact.
Position Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with team members to manage development of partner-facing communications, deliverables and timelines in support of marketing programs and product launches.
-Planning and tracking all program/launch related assets/deliverables
-Develop trusted partner relationship with Channel and Product Marketing teams
-Manage the work of external vendors when necessary
-Synthesize internal messages from multiple sources and make relevant for partner audiences
-Act as marketing communications program lead on cross-functional teams
-Negotiate and influence actions of team members outside team
-Resolve conflicts diplomatically
-Use data to analyze programs and recommend corrections and improvements
-Identify priorities and deliver tangible results using sound business practices
-Innovate and define new tools and practices
Skill Set:
-5-10 years of channel marketing communications experience
-Solid understanding of partner business models
-Solid understanding of the networking industry
-Self-starter with firm understanding of the marketing communications mix
-Good project management experience. Project management certificate is a plus
-Has worked closely with executives and decision makers
-Works well in a group and under pressure managing a variety of projects in parallel
-Able to lead by influence at and above peer level
-Well organized and results-oriented
-Attention to detail and the ability to be proactive– This is critical as there are many "moving parts" to manage, and the candidate will need to be proactive and adapt to evolving needs
-Strong communication/presentation skills – Program updates are critical for keeping each program on track
-Solid writing skills – Candidate must be able to develop clear program communications for a variety of audiences, including: Reviewing/finalizing end-user-focused nurture emails; creating co-branded communications for use by Distributors including training eVites; messaging development for any internal program updates; etc.
-The ability to manage/oversee a multitude of tasks in parallel, while adhering to deadlines and time constraints
-Work effectively across numerous groups/organizations – The ability to collaborate with a variety of teams is essential
-Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, MBA desirable
