Position Summary:

As a Lead Engineer, you will be developing the next generation of Client Facing tools for the firm. You will be working with a group of world-class engineers, architects and product managers to increase user experience and create efficiency for our clients, prospects, distributors, and internal business teams. You'll be a part of a modern, lean, self-governing engineering team where you have the ability to switch hats between designing new capabilities, coding features, testing for quality and performance, and writing release management automation.

Responsibilities:

· Design and develop world-class web sites

· Act as a hands-on lead with responsibilities to author technical design, architecture, code, deploy and support documentation

· Demonstrate a solid understanding of best practices for Drupal and web architecture

· Collaborate with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate web sites with the client’s enterprise systems

· Lead development team of employees and consultants through all aspects of the software development lifecycle to ensure technical delivery of the applications

· Demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills with ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic fast paced environment.

· Keep abreast of the emerging technologies - champion initiatives that improve our external presence and take our products and the team to the "next level"

· Work with business team members, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical Requirements

· Excellent leadership, technical, management, and systems analysis skills

· Must have 5 or more years of proven object-oriented software design and development experience

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing Drupal modules (or core contributions) with a history of contributions in the Drupal community strongly preferred Proficiency with Drupal’s Coding Standards, approaches, best practices and common APIs

· Deep experience with PHP, MySQL, CSS and jQuery / JavaScript

· Prior development experience on large-scale web application project(s)

· Hands-on expertise in many disparate web technologies, ranging from front-end user interfaces through back-end systems (web services) and all points in between

· Experience with Agile software development and Scrum

· Must have 2 or more years of proven experience with such technologies as web services, XML/XSLT, Struts Framework, log4j, Ant/Maven, and SOA

· Must have 2 or more years leading engineering teams on complex projects

· Proven experience in building technology solutions to satisfy complex business needs

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

The preferred candidate will possess experience with the following:

· .NET technologies

· CMS systems (Drupal/PHP a plus)

· CMIS (Alfresco, Documentum DFC)

· Cloud computing (AWS)

· Jasper

· Service-Oriented-Architecture technologies using SOAP, REST, JSON

· Working in an Agile team utilizing Scrum

Keys to this Position:

1) We are seeking a Senior or Lead Software Engineer that has solid experience developing Drupal modules. This individual will have solid experience with PHP. Java is a plus.

2) This individual will be developing Client Facing applications that include the public Website and the Client Extranet.

3) For the Lead role, this person will be leading a team of 6 offshore consultants.
