Sugar fuses the straightforward simplicity, mobility, and social aspects of a consumer app with the business process optimization of conventional CRM.<br /><br /><br /><br /> Description:<br /><br /><br /><br /> SugarCRM is looking for a seasoned, creative Senior Designer and Brand Manager who can help us tell a creative, imaginative, consistent, and seamless story about SugarCRM across a broad range of media, including web, digital, email, presentations, video, print, tradeshow/event and out of home. This position reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing and works with the marketing team as well as contractors, vendors, agencies and other departments to concept and produce engaging, original and on-brand designs. You will shape and maintain the look and feel of all the visual design that we use to express our brand to the world. In-depth understanding of visual design principles and a desire to push conceptual thinking and the latest design and technology trends will be critical in creating experiences that connect with our customers, prospects, employees and partners. As brand manager, you will also play a front line role enforcing brand standards and guidelines.<br /><br /><br /><br /> The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly motivated person who can bring creative and strategic ideas to life, and someone who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that includes multiple stakeholders. <br /><br /><br /><br /> Responsibilities:<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Deliver extraordinary customer relationships<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Understand and interpret brand, user, and business needs in order to develop innovative, creative, and results-oriented design solutions <br /><br /><br /><br /> • Create rich and intuitive designs for web, print, mobile, email, presentations and more<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Refresh and maintain the SugarCRM visual language and supporting documentation to ensure design consistency, simplicity and quality <br /><br /><br /><br /> • Develop design concepts throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial explorations through final, produced design deliverables<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Assist our web and marketing ops teams with designs for web pages and demand generation<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Communicate and present design strategy/rationale effectively to key stakeholders<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling visual designs<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Produce designs into final materials including collateral, event signage, online banners, presentations, infographics, emails, microsites, advertisements, etc.<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Maintain relevancy in the field by monitoring digital trends, attending workshops/conferences, and joining professional groups <br /><br /><br /><br /> • Define scope of SugarCRM creative services for internal stakeholders and scope of services outsourced to vendors or contractors that have been trained on the SugarCRM brand and visual language<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Manage the interface with external agencies and contractors<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Manage creative budgets, timelines, resources, processes and technologies<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Respect and expect accountability<br /><br /><br /><br /> Desired Skills and Experience:<br /><br /><br /><br /> • 8 years of experience in visual design at a high growth technology company with multiple product lines, regions and distribution channels<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Advertising/Creative/Design/Film or relevant number of years of experience<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Experience in creative/design work with a rich portfolio including digital, print, interactive, website/mobile design and video<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative suite<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Ability to present and sell creative to a diverse group of stakeholders<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Strategic, independent, hands-on and self-motivated with the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Deep understanding of brand and how to create a design system, passion for storytelling and knowledge of all things digital<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Highly organized with excellent visual design skills, and a demonstrated mastery of typography, color and page layout<br /><br /><br /><br /> • Excellent written and oral communication skills<br /><br /><br /><br /> • A portfolio with incredible digital, print and social examples<br /><br /><br /><br /> Location: Cupertino, CA<br /><br /><br /><br /> Note to Recruiters and Placement Agencies: SugarCRM does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
