Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Marketing Communications Project Coordinator consultant for our client in Santa Cruz, CA. The Coordinator will work closely with the clients' Manager, Marketing Communications and support Contact Center and/or Software and Services, providing hands-on and tactical project management support. The Marketing Communications Project Coordinator will own the day-to-day coordination of project workflow, adhere to project deadlines/timelines and budget constraints, manage external vendor relationships, oversee project trafficking responsibilities, and ensure a smooth operational process. The Marketing Communications Project Coordinator is responsible for coordination and production of specific projects ensuring consistency with brand identity and alignment.
The ideal candidate is a fast moving self-starter who can push projects forward with minimal day-to-day guidance, is detail-oriented with excellent time management skills, and extremely organized. Seeking a creative problem solver who creates and maintains good working relationships with peers of varying personalities and departments. Must have the ability to remain flexible in a rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the creative execution of projects by working closely with the project Requestor
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Work with the production manager to define project tasks and resource requirements
Coordinate approvals with requestor, product marketing and legal
Ensure proper communication to, through and with varying teams, and alignment to their Marketing Communications plans
Plan and schedule project timelines
Ensure quality, adherence to brand and messaging, and consistency across all deliverables (trafficking and cross-checking of materials to project scope)
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Report on project volume on a quarterly basis
Skills:
Up to 5 years' hands-on experience working in marketing communications or project management
Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively interpret and communicate with internal teams and vendors
Experience managing timelines, production schedules and external vendors a plus
Writing, editing and proofing experience with a good grasp of English language and grammar
Team player who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects, across various teams, with aggressive deadlines
Creative thinker who is diplomatic, resourceful, and flexible
Be passionate, energetic, with the ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
4-year college degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Marketing, Business, or similar
Experience in a mid- to enterprise-level technology company a plus
Understanding of Graphic design principles/terminology a plus
Rate: D.O.E. as a w2 employee of Crawford Group.
Location: Fully onsite clients' office in Santa Cruz, CA. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration: Part time 20 hours per week with potential to scale to full time. April 27, 2015 - ongoing.
