Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Graphic Designer experienced in the art of brand expression through presentations, marketing collateral and external communications. This is a full time consulting opportunity for three months at a fast growing technology company head quartered in downtown Mountain View, CA. The company is six years old with approximately 1,000 employees. This short-term role has the possibility of extending longer, pending the level of value the consultant is able to provide to the team. The company is growing at a rapid pace and would receive great benefit from a designer who is used to working in a corporate environment providing consistent brand guidance to internal teams. It is also desired that the consultant help establish internal processes for being time efficient and responsive to the needs of the sales teams.



The immediate priority is for a graphic design consultant who can help the team deliver a brand refresh in support of an upcoming campaign launch. A new brand/style guide has already been confirmed at the company. This role is to help the team take existing documents and upgrade them with the new look and feel. Given the speed at which the company is currently moving, this role requires full time on-site support in Mountain View, where you will partner with the Corporate Marketing organization to deliver impactful PowerPoint slides and visuals. Templates have already been created. Your creative eye and attention to detail are needed. New marketing pieces are being produced to speak directly to new customer audiences. This includes email templates, online brochures and sales tools, printed pieces for trade shows and training materials. Your understanding of the nuances of design are critical. Do you know how to take an approved style guide and apply it to various layouts? Or make recommendations for greater impact for design on different mediums (e.g. print versus mobile)?



Specific Responsibilities:

Be the brand ambassador for consistent look and feel through graphic design principles

Take existing art/visuals and transport them into PowerPoint templates in the new look and feel so they are adaptable to multiple uses at the company

Manage the build-out of new marketing materials while keeping a keen eye to maintain the nuances of the new brand style (print pieces, website documents, email templates, digital and printed sales tools)

Lead problem-solver as new content is asked to be added to existing documents; able to propose new layout ideas that align with the brand style, including typesetting

Collaborate and partner with lead graphic designer to support internal requests for upcoming brand launch

Provide ideas and solutions of how to simplify layouts for greater impact and usability across mediums (e.g. print, web, mobile)

Skills:

Estimated 3-5 years of graphic design experience, preferably at an agency or large company

Fluent using Adobe Creative Suite required

Emotional maturity in working through tight deadlines with a calm demeanor; must perform with grace under pressure

Ability to prioritize competing requests on a daily basis, but also the business savvy to seek guidance when necessary to deliver on deadline

Maintain an attitude of ownership and pride in the quality of the work being produced; must have a process for proofing your own work to minimize errors

Attitude of accountability; committed to high quality output

Flexible and resilient personality; patient with executives and internal teams with urgent requests

Capable of remaining calm and effective in a fast-paced environment

Has the presence of mind to know when to slow-down to increase the quality of the work

Ability to ask probing questions real-time; must pull out salient points to be communicated through visual arts

B2B experience preferred; technology industry experience desired but not necessarily required if you are able to understand technology topics quickly

Sample design work required

BA/BS in Graphic Design, Communications, Business, Marketing, Design or similar is required



RATE: D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available

LOCATION: Fully onsite at client's offices in Mountain View, CA.
