Job Description:

The Sr. Competitive Intelligence Analyst will define and execute competitive intelligence programs to improve sales effectiveness. The role encompasses both working with internal and external resources, as well as getting hands-on-with research and creation of compelling sales tools. This is a critical role that will make tangible contributions to the success of a high-growth organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define a comprehensive competitive intelligence program and manage its execution

• Build out and maintain a network of sources of competitive intelligence including clients, partners, vendors, industry experts and the sales team

• Research and keep current on market/competitor trends and news

• Synthesize research to formulate competitive sales strategies, positioning and up-to-date tools (battle cards, analyses, competitive responses, etc.), with a view towards improving sales effectiveness. Train sales teams on competitive strategies and messages.

• Foster internal sharing of competitive information

• Work with stakeholders (executive team, product management and marketing, sales leadership) to ensure competitive messages have maximum impact

• Define and report on competitive metrics to key stakeholders

• Manage win/loss reporting to provide actionable intelligence

• Act as the company's go-to-resource for competitive intelligence

Job Requirements:

• BA/BS in marketing, business or technology fields; MBA desired

• 3+ years of experience in competitive intelligence roles

• 5+ years of experience in technical sales, product marketing or technology consulting

• Understanding of software deal dynamics and competitive positioning strategies

• Experience with cloud applications or ERP required

• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, including developing messaging and positioning

• Strong, cross-functional project management skills

• Strong research and analysis skills

• Experience managing outside vendors
