Responsibilities:
The Senior System Administrator will work with development and QA to design and build out the next generation of hardware and operating system infrastructure at SignalDemand. This includes responsibility for the design and layout of all physical assets in our data center. System Administrators are responsible for configuring and installing Linux operating systems and our virtualization layer. They will configure and set up network infrastructure such as switches and network cabling. The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of all storage systems. Finally, they will be responsible for helping set up and maintain a new cloud based infrastructure for key internal systems.
Minimum Requirements:
· 4 year degree with technical major such as computer science or engineering or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of Linux system administration
· LDAP/Kerberos
· DNS Administration
· Hardware support and installation
· Linux Jumpstart support and installation
· SAN/NAS configuration and support
· Familiarity with backup software and systems
· Experience using VMWare and virtualization
· Switch configuration and management
Desirable Experience:
· Pillar SAN experience
· Networking and Firewall knowledge or experience
· Scripting skills such as Perl and Bash
· Apache configuration
· Oracle installation
· Nagios installation and configuration
· VPN
· AWS and/or IBM Cloud
