Qualifications:
The Sr. ETL engineer will be an exceptionally talented, innovative and creative individual familiar with all aspects of ETL design, coding, and product level deployment. He/she must be an established and driven person who brings ETL and Data Architecture credibility to our seasoned engineering team. The candidate should have strong background in ETL tools, data architecture, and Oracle environment running in Linux. The candidate is most likely currently an ETL team lead with extensive experience for a SaaS company or a BI/Analytics division of a larger company. The job is in our San Francisco office.
Required Experience:
- Over 6-7 years ETL development background with Informatica PowerCenter 8 and 9
- Experienced in best practices design of ETL implementations in a high volume environment, including ETL software, database and hardware tuning
- Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and tuning in an Oracle environment
- Applicant should be knowledgeable and experienced in all types of data modeling, including strong dimensional modeling techniques.
- Experience with data quality tools and knowledgeable in data quality approaches and techniques.
- 6+ years of experience in data management or computer programming.
- Experience working with relational databases & programming concepts.
- Detailed knowledge of Data Warehouse and Data Mart physical RDBMS schemata.
- Excellent working knowledge Unix/Linux, IDMS
- Working knowledge of Java, J2EE, Perl
- Experience with troubleshooting data issues and providing on-call support
- Ability to lead and communicate with off-shore resources
- Strong shell scripting experience.
