Job Title: Proof of Concept Engineer / Storage Admin
Location: Santa Clara , CA
Duration: Contract to Hire
Description: This Technical Engineer will participate in all activities for development, maintenance, and delivery of technical Proof of Concept (POC) solutions with a primary responsibility focus on storage solutions and products.
Job Functions.
Define and develop technical POCs for the Technical Proficiency Center .
Provide support to field request for local and remote technical POCs within the Technical Proficiency Center
Participate in team meeting and is responsible for identifying, communicating and following-up on action plans related to achieving key milestones in each project
Manage the life cycle of each POC.
Support and implement the configuration, change, and problem management processes for each POC to ensure delivery of high quality solutions.
Implement and execute of development plans for each technical POC solution.
Primary Qualifications:
Open Systems platforms: Windows, ESX, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Linux
Storage (S/W and H/W): Hitachi and EMC (optionally: HP, NetApp and IBM)
Applications: Exchange, MSSQL, Oracle (optional: DB2, Sybase, Lotus Notes)
Verbal and written communications.
Technical Presentations
Optional: Backup Applications (NetBackup, Galaxy, Tivoli Storage Manager)
Education:
· Minimum of a BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in the Storage Industry
