Role Summary:

Enecsys is looking for an experienced NPI Program Manager with drive, ambition and a desire to own and execute projects from early prototype stage through launch to production.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

What you get to do:
• Manage products from early prototype stages through launch to production, with a supply chain focus. Manage the external Contract Manufacturing partners to ensure on-time delivery, including transition of products into low cost regions. Work as a liaison between Engineering, Operations and Product Line Management in a highly dynamic environment.
• Participate in product development teams to understand key issues and develop effective project plans to support product development and launch activities through transition to volume manufacturing. Manage project plans to streamline new product time to market and act as focal point for all new product supply chain issues.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product Line Management, Suppliers, and Contract Manufacturing partners to develop a viable supply plan that supports product development activities, early customer units and transition to volume manufacturing, including moving production to low cost regions. Direct the activities of the Contract Manufacturer to ensure performance to build plan.
• Coordinate production readiness reviews for resolution of issues with the Supply Chain group and the Contract Manufacturer to review overall material readiness from early prototype through ramp to volume. Identify new long lead time parts, escalate and drive resolution of supply issues, develop mitigation plans for supply risks (obsolescence, single source, etc.), direct material transfers between stocking locations, drive clear to build. Ensure component and vendor qualifications support product development schedules.
• Provide visibility to management and product development teams of material readiness status, communicating overall project status from the supply chain perspective and escalating any issues as appropriate to drive resolution.
• Generate initial product cost estimate and monitor product cost throughout development, report progress to cost target. Drive cost reduction projects.
• Help define, develop, document and implement NPI and material management processes as needed.


What we're looking for:
• Demonstrated success working with volume production of electronic products.
• Experience managing materials and suppliers in an outsourced turnkey environment, including direct experience with top tier contract manufacturers.
• Strong NPI and Program Management Experience, knowledge of ECO processes, detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely and cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Line Management, Suppliers, and Contract Manufacturing partners to resolve issues and conflicts quickly and effectively.
• Demonstrated understanding of the new product development process, life cycle management and the requirements at each stage.
• Excellent influence skills with ability to influence all levels of management.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership skills, including influencing, motivating, collaborating, and driving for results.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and correct production problems in a timely manner.
• Experience with PDM software, and MRP/ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Skills & Experience Required:

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor´s degree in EE, ME, IE or supply chain with 10+ years' experience in a role providing supply chain program management for a product development project.
• 5+ years of experience as a project/program manager.
• Specific experience in new product introduction, operations, master scheduling, planning or materials management required.

Preferred qualifications
• MBA or MS Engineering, PMP certification
• Electronics products experience (computer, telecom or solar)
