SUMMARY
Under general supervision supports design team members in creating strategically on-target designs for a variety of projects within the required time frame. Also provides general administrative support for the assigned project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Executes sketches or designs developed by other team members.
• Contributes concepts to the design team in a clear, concise, and direct manner.
• Tracks and maintains project organization for all project binders and archival of design solutions and illustrations.
• Provides support in creating and preparing materials for presentations.
• Completes spec sheets for POS elements.
• Completes tasks within specified time limits; maintains accurate and timely project documentation.
• Works extended hours if necessary to support the design team in meeting deadlines.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or GED.
• Associates of Applied Arts Degree OR 2 years of agency design support experience.
• Knowledge of the Macintosh platform, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Required to possess the vision necessary to view artwork up close and to identify subtle changes to color.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a Graphic Design concentration.
• Illustration skills.
• Knowledge of print production processes.
• Color, design and typography skills.
• Strong organization and presentation skills and a drive for growth.
• Skilled in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign applications.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite, notably PowerPoint.
• Skilled in paying strict attention to detail.
• Experience functioning as a team player – partnering well with other members of the organization.
• Stays current with design trends.
• Completes assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision.
• Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
• Works independently and exercises sound judgment in making independent decisions.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and has a positive attitude.
• Experience with effectively dealing with change and multi-tasking.
• Experience learning new industry, company, product and technical skills.
• Experience with following established processes to get work done.
• Experience with assuming responsibility for mistakes and learning from them.
• Takes advantage of training opportunities offered by the client for technical or interpersonal skills.
