JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition works as a member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment function for all position levels. This is a hands-on role with direct responsibility for the development and implementation of recruitment and staffing strategies. Responsibilities: - Directs the activities of an internal recruitment function including the creation/enhancement of the structure and the establishment of standard processes and procedures that assures compliance with Federal, State and Local Employment Laws.
- Develops new strategies and programs to identify, attract, and hire high quality talent.
- Responsible for proactively sourcing, recruiting and evaluating talent through various resources (posting, advertising, internet searches/techniques, database/resume searches, social media, candidate research, and networking) for both active and passive candidates.
- Work collaboratively with hiring managers to obtain an understanding of hiring manager’s business needs to ensure successful recruitment efforts. Establish and maintain strong relationships with department management, hiring managers, HR team, and other clients in order to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs and talent management activities.
- Leads a team of recruiters in the talent selection process.
- Establishes relationships with appropriate contingency and retained search firms to ensure value and cost effectiveness as well as conduct regular vendor assessments.
- Develops and manages internal recruitment campaigns and referral programs.
- Manages the applicant tracking system, resources, and processes to ensure efficient and effective outcomes. Oversees activities which continue to streamline and enhance the recruitment process and continually move recruitment to the next level in order to better service the client.
- Identifies key performance metrics and data to ensure success and analyze effectiveness of effort. Establishes reporting methodology to continuously communicate status of recruiting efforts.
- Monitor recruiting expenditures to comply with budgetary limitations.
Education: - Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) - or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or other related field required.
- AIRS, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Required Technical Skills: - 5 – 7 years of broad direct recruitment experience in a corporate environment, E-Commerce industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge and use of Applicant Tracking System required (Taleo preferred).
- Extensive interviewing and sourcing experience.
- Ability to identify and motivate external candidates through cold-calling.
- Experience developing creative, successful sourcing strategies and social networking strategies strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and tracking of business processes related to talent acquisition.
- Experience in measuring and communicating success through recruiting metrics.
- Possess a broad recruiting background including full life-cycle experience across a variety of functional areas and solid knowledge of recruiting administration practices.
- Proven ability to supervise, lead, motivate and drive results through performance from team members.
- Strong documentation skills, detail-orientation, and proficiency with reporting tools and databases.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are essential, and in particular the ability to draft recruiting communications and advertising.
