Compensation Analyst - Alameda

The role provides analytical support in the development and deployment of global compensation programs, including base pay, short-term incentive, and long-term incentive (stock) programs. The position reports to the Director of Compensation and HR Systems and is responsible for analytics on day-to-day requests as well as ongoing annual activities.

Responsibilities:

Responds to ad hoc compensation requests from other HR functions and internal customers with guidance
Conducts Excel analytics and provides other assistance in support of annual compensation processes such as the annual salary increase, incentive, and equity grant programs
Participates in worldwide compensation surveys and maintains global market ranges; performs annual competitive assessment in conjunction with the Director
Utilizes Oracle and specialized software to create, run and maintain information on compensation programs; partners with HR Systems to promote accuracy of compensation data reporting.
Assists organization and HR Business Partners with career path development, position matching and range development
Participates in projects as assigned, such as global program redesign, job audits, and policy development
May assist other functions within the HR department as needed

Skills/Experience:

3-5 years of experience in compensation strongly preferred; candidates with exceptional skills but fewer than 3 years of experience may be considered
Bachelor�s degree in related field
CCP or evidence of formal compensation training preferred but not required
Experience writing functions in Excel
Strong quantitative skills
Experience with base pay, equity and variable incentive programs
Experience using Oracle HRIS and talent management systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Halogen) preferred
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including ability to communicate proactively
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive data
Attention to detail
Good customer service skills and ability to collaborate and multi-task
Strong interest in learning and growing in compensation/Excel knowledge and business skills
