The Role: Accounting Clerk

Our continued growth has prompted us to search for a knowledgeable and experienced Accounting Clerk
What will I be doing?
As the Accounting Clerk you will be in charge of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for the company. You will focus on all aspects of Accounts Receivable including: performing invoicing, processing and applying cash received, researching deductions taken by customers, and following up on collections. You will also spend time processing Accounts Payable including: coding and entering invoices into the system, creating voucher packets, and processing checks to pay the invoices.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
You have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and two or more years of relevant experience including working with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (will consider non-degree applicants if ten or more years of relevant work experience)
You have direct experience performing all of the Accounts Receivable functions (invoicing, processing cash, collections, and follow up on discounts)
You have direct experience performing the Accounts Payable functions (creating voucher packets, coding and entering invoices for payment, processing checks, verifying that payments made match goods received)
You are hard-working, tenacious and have a strong moral compass
Your Microsoft Office Skills are excellent
You have experience working with Quickbooks or another accounting package. Peach Tree Software experience is beneficial, but not required
