Email Marketing Director/Senior Manager

As the Customer Marketing leader at Elance, your mission is to help make Elance memorable and loved by our customers worldwide. You will own Conversion and Retention Emails with a focus on increasing customer lifetime value. You will drive the strategy, execution and analysis of email marketing campaigns and will have significant impact on the customer experience and company revenue.
Your Responsibilities:
Develop the strategy and drive the execution of our email marketing campaigns.
Create campaigns for lead nurturing, cross-selling, retention and re-activation.
Use your creativity to optimize campaign performance using personalization, offers, timing, and targeting.
Manage the email campaign lifecycle from design to development, deployment to reporting.
Collaborate with our creative and product teams to develop the 'Voice of Elance'.
Drive continuous improvements using A/B and multi-variate tests.
Focus on improving key revenue metrics (lifetime value, incremental revenue lift) and operating metrics (retention, engagement, open rates, CTR).
Your Qualifications:
4+ years of experience designing and implementing successful email marketing campaigns.
8+ years of experience working in a high-efficiency, results-oriented online marketing culture.
Experience with StrongMail.
Relentless focus on understanding online customer behavior, leading to insights and innovation.
Entrepreneurial and results-oriented, with the ability to get things done in a fast-moving environment.
Intellectually curious, and able to empathize with a global customer base.
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills to test, measure and optimize the impact of marketing programs. Highly proficient with Excel and pivot tables.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
